5 Weekend Getaways in California You Need To Have!

Are you in need of a serious vacation? But only have the weekend? No worries, I got you! Here's a list of 5 Weekend Getaways you need to have in California!

1. San Diego - Along with Los Angeles, it's one of the busier cities.. but well worth it. Especially for a weekend. You could have a Zoo day, a Beach day, and then relax. The opportunities of entertainment are endless with this one.

2. Downtown Los Angeles - This one might not be a "getaway" for everyone.. as it's a pretty busy city. But if you consider shopping, and sightseeing as your getaway time? Then it's perfect. There's no limit to the things you can do in this city. Plus? You can check it off your bucket list.

3. Joshua Tree - If you've ever heard of the infamous Joshua Tree National Park that brings in around 3 million visitors a year.. then you've probably heard of Joshua Tree. A little around an hour from the City of Angels, can you find yourself in the middle of a beautiful desert. This is a great place to take a breather from the big cities, and take in the wonderful views of the desert. Can de-stress by doing some hiking, and camping as well -- or get a nice Vacation Home Rental in the area, and have a nice, quiet weekend.

4. Catalina Island - Only 26 miles from the crazy Los Angeles area, but a world apart. The island is a place of extraordinary natural beauty, and one of the best places to de-stress in the state.

It's a good place for romantic getaways, active weekends (especially for diving), and family fun.

5. Lake Tahoe - Can do things such as family outings, outdoor recreation, snow skiing, driving tours, hiking, fishing, boating, and so much more. This one is yet another gorgeous place with a view.. to get your sanity from the week back.
